The premiere date for the next Amazing Race, season 13, has been announced as September 28th. CBS tells us that the new season will be introduced as a part of the fall line-up. Casting completed last fall and the race finished in Portland, OR in mid-May.

We've truly lucked out this year due to the writers' strike which sent CBS out to create more reality television. The Amazing Race usually only has one airing a year.

Only 1 show a year???? I thought it was 2 like Survivor.

Not that I know of. This one is usually only once a year. It's an expensive show to run!

They did do this more than once a year for like three years in a row, but like Minty said, its too expensive to do that like they were.
